So, now that you’re in a fraternity, life is great, right? But have you ever stopped to consider how your role in your chapter is making it truly great? Or worse, could your behavior be destroying it? In her typical candid style, Michelle provides a wake-up call to those fraternity members who are coasting on their status or who are senselessly participating in destructive behavior, like hazing, abusive drinking, assault and poor academics. Michelle speaks from a level of authority, not only as a lifelong member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., but as someone who has experienced how negative behavior destroys a chapter. As an undergraduate, she participated in—and even initiated—this type of negative behavior. As an advisor, she’s fought from the other side, holding students accountable and challenging them to do better. As a speaker, she now confronts the “dream killers” of fraternity and sorority life: those whose actions destroy the values and original aspirations of founding members. Every chapter member will leave Michelle’s keynote believing they have the power either to bring their community up or tear it down. She encourages better choices, and she will leave you with a road map for making your community outstanding. She asks members of all groups (MGC, NPHC, IFC and Panhellenic) to take critical look at the roles they play in making sure fraternity and sorority communities survive and thrive.

Participants will review key organizational policies, national procedures, and behavioral expectations that uphold the integrity and reputation of our fraternity. Through guided discussion and scenario‑based learning, Hermanos will explore how to embody our values in daily practice, navigate common challenges, and contribute to a culture of accountability, professionalism, and brotherhood.

It is a motivational talk focused on practical tools for self-awareness and inner transformation. My intention is not to approach these ideas in an abstract or overly theoretical or spiritual way which is possible, but rather to present them in a grounded, accessible way that people can apply in their daily lives. I am aware that topics like these are sometimes dismissed or overlooked, yet I have seen firsthand how powerful they can be when people truly engage with them. Because of that, I feel increasingly committed to sharing this message and these tools with as many people as possible.

Every Hermano brings something powerful into La Unidad Latina — a talent, a mindset, a lived experience, or a way of showing up that strengthens our Hermandad. This interactive workshop helps participants identify, name, and activate their unique “Hermano Superpower” so they can contribute with confidence at the chapter, regional, and national levels. Through guided reflection, peer dialogue, and strengths‑based activities, Hermanos will explore the qualities that make them effective leaders, reliable brothers, and impactful community members. Whether your superpower is mentorship, creativity, discipline, advocacy, problem‑solving, or quiet consistency, this session will help you understand how to use it with purpose. By the end of the workshop, Hermanos will walk away with: - A clear understanding of their individual strengths - Insight into how their superpower supports chapter and organizational success - Strategies to collaborate with Hermanos whose strengths complement their own - A renewed sense of identity, confidence, and belonging within the fraternity This session is designed to uplift, empower, and remind every Hermano that our collective excellence begins with the strengths each of us brings to the table.
Social media can elevate your voice, expand your network, and showcase the best of who you are — but it can also create long‑term consequences in seconds. This session takes an unfiltered look at the digital footprints we leave behind and the real‑world impact our online presence can have on our personal lives, professional opportunities, and the reputation of La Fraternidad. Brothers will leave this workshop with a clearer understanding of how to navigate social media with intention, protect themselves and the organization, and use their platforms to uplift rather than undermine. This is a timely, practical session for anyone who wants to align their online presence with their values, goals, and leadership journey.
Securing the job offer is only the first win — the next challenge is navigating the world of employee benefits. For many Hermanos, this is the first time choosing health plans, retirement options, insurance packages, and other employer‑provided perks. This workshop breaks down the essentials so new professionals can make confident, informed decisions that support their financial, physical, and long‑term well‑being. Participants will learn how to evaluate common benefit categories, compare plan types, and understand the trade‑offs between cost, coverage, and flexibility. The session will also highlight strategies for maximizing employer contributions, avoiding common pitfalls, and aligning benefits with personal goals and life circumstances. By the end of this workshop, Hermanos will walk away with: - A clear understanding of core benefit types (health, dental, vision, retirement, insurance, and more) - Practical frameworks for comparing plans and making cost‑effective choices - Insight into how benefits impact take‑home pay, long‑term savings, and financial security - Confidence to ask the right questions during onboarding and open enrollment This session empowers Hermanos to step into their new roles not just as employees, but as informed professionals who know how to leverage their benefits to build stability, security, and a strong foundation for the future.

Lead With Heart, Not Hustle What does it actually mean to lead not from pressure or performance, but from who you genuinely are? Dr. Thea Zunick challenges the hustle mentality that many fraternity leaders quietly carry. Instead of chasing the "best self", the polished, always-performing version that never misses a beat, she invites participants to meet their favorite self: the one who leads with authenticity, gives grace freely, and finds genuine joy in the work. Rooted in positive psychology, emotional intelligence, and growth mindset, Dr. Z brings energy that is as grounded as it is engaging. Expect conversation, laughter, and a few moments that make you stop and think differently about how you've been showing up. Participants will leave with a renewed sense of their own strengths, a practical mindset shift away from perfectionism and comparison, and the clarity that leading well starts from the inside out.

Brotherhood is not just something we give — it’s something we receive. This workshop explores how group dynamics within La Unidad Latina shape our sense of belonging, support, and fulfillment. Hermanos will examine the ways our chapters, regions, and national community can “fill our cup” by creating environments that uplift, energize, and sustain us. Through guided discussion and interactive activities, participants will reflect on what they personally need from the Hermandad, how group culture influences well‑being, and how we can collectively build spaces that are healthier, more inclusive, and more affirming. The session will also highlight the role each Hermano plays in strengthening the emotional and relational fabric of the fraternity. By the end of this workshop, Hermanos will walk away with: - A deeper understanding of how group dynamics impact motivation, connection, and retention - Insight into what fills their cup — and how to communicate those needs - Strategies for fostering supportive, high‑functioning chapter and regional environments - A renewed commitment to building a fraternity culture where every Hermano feels valued, seen, and energized This session centers the human side of the Hermandad — reminding us that when we pour into each other, we all rise stronger.
This session will cover the history of advocacy within La Fraternidad, the responsibility we have as an organization, and begin to lay the foundation for how chapter can cultivate advocacy events in their own communities.

Leadership Capacity Building Leadership doesn't run on empty, and yet so many fraternity leaders are doing exactly that. This workshop takes members through a guided journey of self-discovery, honest reflection, and practical growth. Starting with what makes you the leader you already are, members will explore what is filling and draining their leadership tank, learn the difference between real and performative self-care, and build practical strategies for leading sustainably, including delegation, boundaries, and giving grace to themselves and others. Leave with habits that sustain both you and your chapter for the long haul.

La Unidad Latina has always evolved through the vision, commitment, and leadership of its Hermanos. This session invites members to step back from day‑to‑day operations and engage in a thoughtful, honest, and aspirational conversation about the future of our Hermandad. What should the next decade of La Fraternidad look like? What values must remain at our core, and what innovations will strengthen our impact? Special Guest - Hermano Mario Rivera (Founder) will join us for this conversation. Through guided discussion, scenario exploration, and collective reflection, we will examine emerging needs across undergraduate chapters, alumni networks, and national operations. The workshop will highlight opportunities for organizational growth, cultural relevance, leadership development, and long‑term sustainability — while centering the lived experiences and voices of Hermanos from across generations. By the end of this session, Hermanos will walk away with: - A shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities shaping our next chapter - Insight into how individual and collective leadership can influence organizational direction - Space to articulate hopes, concerns, and priorities for the fraternity’s evolution - A renewed sense of ownership in building a strong, unified, future‑ready Hermandad This workshop is not about making decisions — it’s about imagining possibilities. It’s an invitation for every Hermano to contribute to the vision of what La Unidad Latina can become.

Join us for an evening dedicated to honoring the hermanos, chapters, and partners who embody the spirit of Unidad in Motion: Reaffirm. Rebuild. Rise. Our Awards Dinner brings together undergraduates, alumni, and national leadership to recognize outstanding achievements in scholarship, leadership, service, and organizational impact across the Fraternity. Throughout the night, we will celebrate the individuals and chapters whose commitment to our mission strengthens La Unidad Latina and uplifts the communities we serve. From chapter excellence to individual distinction, each award reflects the values that continue to move our Hermandad forward. This formal gathering also serves as a moment of reflection and unity—an opportunity to acknowledge the work that has brought us to this point and to inspire the momentum that will carry us into the next year. We invite all Hermanos to share in this celebration of excellence, pride, and collective progress.
